This programme is for those who are, or aspiring to become, senior leaders with cross-school responsibilities eg an experienced middle leader, assistant/ deputy headteacher, Director of a Teaching School Alliance (TSA), or other senior staff.
The qualification includes a flexible combination of blended learning and support opportunities: face-to-face sessions, online learning, self-study, personal reading, coaching, with a focus on development of skills and understanding alongside leadership behaviours.
Participants are required to complete an assessment task – to lead an improvement project across their school, lasting at least 2 terms, to reduce variation in pupil progress and attainment and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of teaching.
Course duration is 12 months, with the final assessment being completed within 18 months from the start date of the programme.
