The National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership (NPQML) programme is for middle leaders, or those aspiring to become a middle leader, with responsibility for leading a team eg key stage/curriculum/subject/pastoral leaders, heads of department, SENCO, SLE.

The qualification includes a flexible combination of blended learning and support opportunities: face-to-face sessions, online learning, self-study, personal reading, coaching, with a focus on development of skills and understanding alongside leadership behaviours.

Participants are required to complete an assessment task:

Lead an improvement project working with your team, lasting at least 2 terms, aimed at improving pupil progress and attainment (part A) and the capability of your team (part B). (If you are unable to identify one project that meets the needs of both part A and B, you may complete 2 separate projects.)

The cost of the programme is £750, and the deadline for applications is Friday, 10th January 2020.
